Q: When running Email Marketer under Chinese Windows XP with Simplified Chinese email content, press "Preview" sometimes show garbage characters.
  A:

Email Marketer version 1.84 has fixed this problem, please follow the following step to resolve your problem:

  1. First upgrade your Email Marketer to version 1.84 or above
  2. After you have created your Simplified Chinese content, press lower right corner "Advanced/Email Tracking"
  3. In the "General" tab, setup your Email Encoding Language as "Unicode".
  4. Press to confirm support for Simplified Chinese content.
     
Q: I already have a contact list storing my unsubscribers. How can I use it in Email Marketer?
  A:

Email Marketer has a "Black List" function, you can simply import your unsubscriber list into the black list. Steps as follow:

  1. First save your unsubscriber list as text (.txt) file.
  2. Launch Email Marketer and press "Black List" function on the left.
  3. Press the "Import" button on the low right corner and pick your txt file to import it.
  4. When importing is done, press the button on the lower right corner to make it effective.

  2. Enter your user ID and the activation code and click the “Submit” button.

Q: How to use Gmail account to be the incoming and outgoing mail server in Email Marketer?
  A:

The basic settings of the Gmail account:

  • For security reasons, Gmail uses POP3 over an SSL connection, so make sure your email client supports encrypted SSL connections.
  • Google Gmail Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop.gmail.com (SSL enabled, port 995)(See below)
  • Outgoing Mail Server - use the SMTP mail server address provided by your local ISP or smtp.gmail.com (SSL enabled, port 465) (See below)
